ITEM # 121626 (Box-2)
Superb opaline glass sugar and creamer by Mount Washington Glass Co., circa 1880's - 1890's. The glass body of the piece has a transfer printed scene of a cupid/cherub young boy with his bow, set within a nature/ wooded floral motif and a butterfly.
The creamer measures 2 3/4" tall and is 4" from handle to spout. Creamer is in very good to good antique condition with some typical wear and light scuffing due to age and handling. Has an air bubble, typical of art glass from this era. Doesn't distract nor compromise. Just stating for accuracy. There is a pale blue background that fades to almost the bottom. The transfer is very nice on this piece as you can make out much of the detailing. The silverplate spout and twisted handle are in amazing condition.
Sugar bowl measures 4 1/4" tall to the top of the handle, and approx 4" in diameter at largest point. The sugar bowl is in very good to good antique condition with some typical wear and light scuffing due to age and handling. There is a pale blue background that fades to almost the bottom. The transfer is the exact same on this piece as the creamer but is on both sides. There is a bit more background coloring on the transer, thus some of the details are blurry. The silverplate spout and twisted handle are in amazing condition.
To find a matching set, along with the lid to the sugar bowl is a find in itself.
*** Princess Khaleesi not included.
